About Us

From Oxford, United Kingdom to North Carolina, USA

The All Aboard Learning team is headquartered in Oxford, UK, with All Aboard USA based in Wake Forest, North Carolina. We have been working in neuroscience-based literacy research around the world since 2008.

Our research basis is detailed here.

Most of our direct research has been done working one-on-one with struggling readers, through our Easyread System intervention. This tool remediates reading for struggling 6-12 year olds while simultaneously allowing us to map the reading journey for young brains.

This work over 15 years with 15,000 children has developed a deep understanding of the root causes of difficulty for each child. We have concurrently developed and tested different solutions for these root causes, all based around tackling the five pillars of reading: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension.

As a direct result of this research, the success rate now on the Easyread System has risen slowly to now well over 99%. Have a look through the sort of testimonials we have received on Facebook from the teachers and parents of those children.

All of that acquired knowledge of root cause reading difficulties has now gone into the All Aboard Phonics resources being used by schools and families around the world.

All of our tools are based within the science of reading family of methodology, while we have extended what has previously been possible with phonics. Traditionally around a third of children struggle a lot with phonics and 15% never crack it. We have reduced that to zero in many classrooms by unlocking new ways for certain kinds of learners to be able to access phonics.
